Data Policy

1. Overview

This Data Policy provides detailed information about how Team19 (team19.xyz) collects, processes, and shares visitor data through Google Analytics 4 (GA4). It supplements our Privacy Policy with the specific GA4 configuration details required by Google's Terms of Service.

Our GA4 Measurement ID is G-2JB2L3N0K5. The Site uses the standard gtag.js library to send Events to Google Analytics.

2. GA4 Configuration

We use GA4 in its standard configuration. The following describes what data is collected and how it flows:

• Measurement ID: G-2JB2L3N0K5 (Team19 main website property)
• Implementation: gtag.js (Google tag for websites)
• Event collection: Automatic page views, scroll depth, outbound clicks, and site search (where applicable)
• User identification: Anonymous client ID stored in the _ga cookie — not linked to your name, email, or any identifying information
• IP anonymization: Google truncates IP addresses before storage, per GA4 default behavior

3. Data Sharing Settings

Per the Google Analytics Terms of Service, we disclose our GA4 data sharing configuration. The following settings are configured in our GA4 account under Admin → Account Settings → Data Sharing Settings:

3.1 Google products and services

Enabled. Sharing data with Google products and services helps improve Google's products and services quality. Google uses this data to better understand user behavior and expectations, developing features beneficial to customers (e.g., improving Google Ads tools for building, managing, and analyzing ad campaigns). Google does not use your data for ad personalization or to target ads to you. Even with this option disabled, data may still be sent to other Google products linked to your data sources.

3.2 Modeling and business insights

Enabled. Sharing summary evaluation data enables features like predictive metrics, simulated data, and benchmarking, providing richer business insight analysis. The data you share (including correlated data from linked data sources) is processed through aggregation and de-identification before being used for business insights. This means Google combines and anonymizes the data before using it for benchmarking or predictive purposes.

3.3 Technical support

Enabled. This allows Google technical support representatives to access your GA4 data and account when necessary to provide service and help resolve technical issues. Support access is logged and limited to what is needed to resolve the specific issue.

3.4 Account assistance (Google recommendations)

Enabled. Allows Google to access your GA4 account data, including account usage information, product spend, and users associated with the GA4 account, to help you get the most out of Google products and provide insights, offers, and optimization tips for Google Analytics and other Google business products.

4. Account Data Sharing (Additional Details)

The data sharing settings above are governed by the Google Assessment Services Controller and Controller Data Protection Terms (the "Controller Terms"), which apply when you share data with Google under GDPR. These terms supplement the Google Analytics Terms of Service for data shared via the data sharing settings.

Key points from the Controller Terms:

• Google acts as an independent controller for data shared via the data sharing settings
• Shared data is subject to aggregation and de-identification before use
• Google does not combine shared GA4 data with other data to identify individuals
• The Controller Terms take precedence over any conflicting terms in the GA4 Terms of Service

If you do not want to accept these terms, you can disable data sharing at any time in your GA4 account settings. For Team19 visitors, this means the data we collect about your visit may be shared with Google in the ways described above. You can opt out of GA4 tracking entirely using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

5. Technical Support Access

When technical support access is enabled, Google support representatives may access our GA4 account and data to:

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues with measurement or reporting
• Provide configuration guidance and best practice recommendations
• Verify data collection is functioning correctly

Support access is event-driven (i.e., only when a support case is open) and is logged for audit purposes.

6. Business Insights & Modeling

With modeling and business insights enabled, Google may use our aggregated, de-identified GA4 data to:

• Generate predictive metrics (e.g., probability of purchase, churn probability)
• Provide benchmarking data comparing our site to similar properties
• Simulate data to fill measurement gaps (e.g., consent-mode modeled conversions)

All data used for these purposes is aggregated and de-identified — it cannot be traced back to an individual visitor.

7. Advertising Features

We do not use Google Analytics Advertising Features. This means:

• No remarketing or retargeting based on GA4 data
• No data is used for personalized advertising
• No Google Ads linkage for audience building
• No Display & Video 360 integration

Our GA4 property is configured without advertising features. We use GA4 exclusively for product analytics and site improvement.

8. Data Processing Terms

Our use of GA4 is subject to the Google Ads Data Processing Terms. These terms describe how Google processes customer data when providing the Service. Key protections include:

• Google processes data only as instructed by us (the controller)
• Google does not use GA4 data for Google's own purposes except as described in the terms
• Sub-processors are bound by confidentiality obligations
• Data is stored in accordance with Google's security standards

9. Data Retention

GA4 data retention is configured as follows:

• Event-level data: 2 months (Google default)
• Aggregated data: Up to 14 months
• User-level data (custom dimensions): 14 months

After the retention period, data is automatically deleted by Google. We do not export or store GA4 data on our own servers.

10. Your Controls

As a visitor to team19.xyz, you have the following controls over your data:

• Browser cookie settings: Block or delete the _ga cookie to prevent GA4 tracking
• Google Analytics opt-out add-on: Available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
• Do Not Track: We respect your browser's DNT signal where technically feasible
• Language preference: Stored in localStorage (not a cookie), cleared when you clear site data
• Data subject requests: Contact [email protected] to request access, deletion, or information about your data

Disabling analytics does not affect site functionality — you can still browse all content, use the language switcher, and access all pages.
